Accepting and Declining Offers

Viewing Your Awards

1. Log in to MyRED.
2. Select "Accept/Decline Award" or "View Financial Aid" from the Financial Aid tab. Your offered awards will be shown that have not yet been accepted.

How to Accept or Decline Your Aid Offers

Select the "Accept/Decline Awards" button and choose the correct aid year. Please read through the Rights and Responsibilities section as it pertains to eligibility information such as Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and enrollment levels.

Accepting Loan Options

You have the option to either accept the full amount, a lower amount, or decline your student loan options. The amount that is accepted will be split in half for fall and spring semester—please keep this in mind when entering a specific amount.

If you wish to decline the Parent PLUS Loan, you can do so here. Please select the "Submit" button to submit the award action. A message will appear at the top stating the awards have been saved. You can return to the "Financial Aid" menu to see these changes in your accepted awards.

December Graduates

If you plan to graduate in December, your spring financial aid options will be canceled. To notify the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid you will be graduating in December:

• Log in to MyRED, select "Accept/Decline Awards" and select the academic year you will be graduating.
• Answer "yes" to the December graduate question. If you are not sure you will graduate in December, answer "no."
• If this changes, you can update your response later in MyRED or by contacting Husker Hub.

Please note, if you plan to graduate in December, your aid options may prorate based on your enrollment.

If your graduation plans change and you will no longer be graduating in December, please email financialaid@unl.edu.
