In recent months, a statewide campaign was launched to aim at increasing FAFSA Form completion rates of Nebraska residents. The campaign, "Do the FAFSA, Nebraska,” is a collaborative effort involving the EducationQuest Foundation and other community partners. Through various channels of outreach, students across Nebraska are encouraged to complete the FAFSA Form as a key step in their college planning process. These efforts are set to continue into the next year, with a focus on ensuring every high school senior in Nebraska is prepared to make informed decisions about their future.
Nebraska Promise: Ensuring Access to Higher Education
The FAFSA is also used to identify students eligible for the Nebraska Promise program, one of the university’s cornerstone financial aid programs for Nebraska students. The program provides undergraduate Nebraska residents with a family income of $65,000 or below, the opportunity to attend the university without tuition costs, covering up to 15 credits per semester.
