At the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, your academic success is important through any unexpected challenges, including natural disasters.  Below, you'll find key resources and support on how to manage your academic and financial responsibilities while prioritizing your well-being.

Immediate Financial Assistance and Flexibility

If you’re facing financial challenges as a result of a natural disaster, Husker Hub is your one-stop resource for personalized support. The team can help you navigate options for emergency financial aid, student account flexibility and tuition payment deadlines.

Here are several options to consider:

  1. Student Bill Flexibility: If a disaster has impacted your ability to meet a payment deadline, contact Husker Hub to discuss the possibility of a late fee waiver. Online payment options are available 24/7.
  2. Husker Payment Plan: If you need more time to pay your tuition or fees, consider enrolling in the Husker Payment Plan. The plan allows you to spread payments over monthly installments. Enrollment through your MyRED account opens two weeks before the bill due date for each semester with the first billing due date as the deadline. Learn more about the Husker Payment Plan
  3. Direct Deposit: Sign up for direct deposit through MyRED to quickly and securely receive financial aid refunds. Learn how to set up Direct Deposit
