They/Them/Theirs

Originally from Waverly, Nebraska, Ash earned their undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2021 and their Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration-Student Affairs Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2023. Ash started their higher education journey as a member, then later president, of UNO's campus programming board while also working as an educational projects intern for BHECN at UNMC. In graduate school, Ash worked as the graduate assistant for the LGBTQA+ Center, extensively working with programming and student support services for LGBTQA+ students at the university. Their background gives them a unique perspective toward working with students, considering student identities and stories in every interaction. Ash loves collecting trinkets, buttons, and pins, spending time with their cat Garbanzo Bean, reading non-fiction, painting, and singing as a member of Queer Choir Lincoln.
